From Ezousa Valley To The Sea
Santa Barbara Hills
Ah, all becomes clear! This used to be / is / will be a resort called Santa Barbara Hills. At this point, you may wish to visit their website, as according to that, there are some nice properties up for grabs here.
A Portcullis is just Soooo Cyprus
It became apparent that the establishment is somewhat unfinished, and, dare I say it, abandoned. Now normally we would get very excited if we found an abandoned area, especially one of this size. However, as the buildings have been abandoned before they were actually finished, they seem to lose a lot of their appeal. Plus, there is that fence. Until the locals spirit it away I don't think we will be doing any exploring in there.
More Unfinished Villas
If you check out their website, the developers have got big plans for the area. However, the reality is a lot less ambitious.
Grand Plans
The above two images were taken from the website, and suggest massive development. It is rather confusing though, because shouldn't that top picture be visible in the bottom picture?
Anyway, the website was last updated in 2015, so I can only assume that they hit financial problems, or lacked the appropriate planning permission.
Continuing...
So instead of a huge development, what do we have? A lush, somewhat quirky, green valley.
