All Aboard!
Now that Winter has become Spring, and Spring is rapidly turning into Summer, the tour boats have kicked back into action and are busy whisking people away for hours and days of adventure. You wouldn't know it from looking at these pictures, but that is because these were taken before the drone ban, which has now, happily, been lifted.
Love Baracas
Baracas Lounge Bar, where you will find this lovely heart, was closed for some off-season renovations. They have re-opened now though.
Theo's
This is the oldest restaurant on the Sea Front. I remember seeing a picture of the Harbour from either the 50s or 60s. It showed a few fishing boats and nets, and Theo's Restaurant. That's quite a pedigree!
Hotel Strip
One of my favourite places to walk is the boardwalk behind the Hotel Strip. Free from any easy vehicular access, it remains a pedestrian's paradise through some lovely gardens and a sea of sunbeds.
Chloraka Monument
I actually managed to visit the little museum that is next to St George's Hotel in Chloraka in May. It explains the significance of this statue, though the bigger one behind it to the left of this picture still just looks like a bird's nest to me.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
