Cyprus in Pictures - November 2024

Evretou Reservoir
We begin this month's look at Paphos Life with a lovely reflection shot above Evretou Reservoir. It isn't very full at the moment, but it has been lower than this in the past. The recent storms have at least slowed the rate at which the reservoirs are getting emptied, but we have yet to reach the point where they are filling up again. So don't think the recent rain has solved the water issue. That won't happen (hopefully) until January and February, which are traditionally the wettest months in Cyprus.
Money Shot
If there was a Top 10 of most popular Kalimera shots, then this would be the "Everything I Do" one. Showing my age there, but there you go.
Coral Beach Hotel And Resort
The weather was unseasonally warm at the start of the months, and there were still plenty of sunbeds around.
Elysium Hotel
The Elysium Hotel looks lovely from a drone. Inside it is even more spectacular.
Paphos Harbour
When the storms haven't been blowing (we had three in November), the sea is amazingly calm.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
