The Asprokremmos Reservoir Is Filling Up!
To The Dam
Let's go and have a look at the dam itself. As you can see, you cannot drive across it at the moment. You can park at either end, and there are signposts to help. We will talk further about parking at the end.
Soon...
This is the overflow. It looks a little bit like amphitheatre but those steps are bigger than they might look.
The Last Overflow
And this is what it looks like when it is overflowing. There is a film in a couple of pages which will give you a much better idea. So do hang around for that.
Downstream
And this is where the water will be flowing...
Raw Power
Now, it won't necessarily look like this when it overflows. It depends on the volume of water moving through the reservoir. I know, that's obvious. But what I mean is, the best time to see the overflow is either when it is raining or just afterwards. A couple of days after a storm, and the water will have slowed right down. It still looks nice, but is not as impressive.
