Asprokremmos Dam Is Looking Good
Distant Wind Farm

There certainly wasn't enough wind for the blades to be turning.

Storm Damage

Now that the waters have subsided, we can examine the effects of the overflow on the area below. If you look carefully, you can see a track in the centre of the picture (to the right of the more visible track). The track ends abruptly. This was the old road, which used to run up to the dam. We took some photos from there earlier in the year. If you click the link at the foot of the blog you can see them.
The Overflow

I wonder if it will overflow again this year? It will be unusual if it does. It normally overflows once every 7 years. Well, that's been the recent pattern. It overflowed the last two years, so already that's slightly skewed the stats. Three years on the bounce would be unprecedented though.
Believe it or not, most of the pictures I have taken of the dam actually show a much emptier reservoir.
The Bees Are Still Safe!

As you can see from this shot, the bees are still safe. A few more overflows though, and who knows? The riverbank is certainly getting closer.
Distant Foinikas

Let's end with a shot of a very distant Foinikas. It's already gone through its yellow phase, unfortunately, so we will have to wait a year before we can capture that again.
