Paphos Museum March Update
New Build

The Museum will reside in the Old Police Station, which is the building with the red roof. In front of that, in this picture, they have constructed another building to complement it. It currently looks like a wrapped parcel.

New Gardens

This shows the B6 from above. It is the road where the Carnival went a few weeks ago.
Interesting Features

There is going to be a lot happening in the garden area. Can't wait...
Back On The Ground

Anyway, once I had parked the car I wandered around the perimeter of the Construction Site. This is Kennedy Square next to it. The weather was quite overcast so apologies if the pictures look a bit heavy.
Frontage

The Old Police Station was a listed building, and the new museum had to keep it's facade. This is a good thing as it is a lovely structure. I only ever went inside once (to report a car break-in), and was amazed at the amount of wood there was. Stacks of paperwork in wooden shelves, with wooden floors and wooden railings. It was a huge fire risk.

You may recall that the Old Police Station in Kennedy Square is being renovated. It will eventually become the Paphos Historical Documentation Centre. It is now September and the project isn't due to be completed until mid next year, but we thought we would let the drone give you an idea as to how they are progressing...Good Pages To Visit
