Kato Paphos Part 4 - Pingouino's Area
Central Accommodation

There is a hotel here too, which is in a great location.
TNR

This is another cat that has been visited by the TNR People. They must have their work cut out.
Here's an interesting story. Sometimes when a male cat is castrated, one of the jewels will not yet have dropped. So the vet will only remove one. Months later, the second one will fall, and the cat will be back with a bang, so to speak. I found this out when I was investigating my childhood pet cat's lineage. He was a long-haired silver tabby, whereas his sister was nearly all brown. The only Burmese cat in the neighbourhood had had the chop. So I asked a vet, who told me this testicular tale.
Sea Front Fountain

We've arrived back at the sea front now. The Municipal Baths are in the background, and the taxi rank is on the other side of the road.
Night View

Fountains look better at night, when they are illuminated.
Pingouino's

Pingouino's is a handy landmark, partly because their food is great and partly because it is on a convenient junction. Also, they have an extensive gluten-free menu to complement their regular fayre. So if one of your party has a wheat intolerance or is a coeliac, then Pingouino's is well worth a visit. The owner's daughter is a coeliac, so they know all about the importance of food preparation, as well as the ingredients. For lunch, their chicken in Lebanese bread is lovely. For dinner I prefer either the pork chop or Pasta Carbonara.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
