A Final Sign

Συκαμια - Blackberries

This puzzled me when I was translating. Obviously brambles and blackberries are different things in Greek. I would guess that the brambles signposted earlier don't have the fruit, and are much thinner (and pricklier) than the blackberry bush we all know and love.

The track winds itself around the side of a well-kept vineyard.

The Circle Is Complete

We're now back at the Water Feature. You may well hear some dogs barking here. There is also something weird in a tree.

Strange Decoration

For some reason a child's tricycle is dangling from the tree here. I can only imagine why. I am often see bears used to frighten the birds (Scare Bears?) but a kid's bike is a new one on me.

Watchful Eyes

This was the source of the barking dogs. Above the water feature was a house, and in the garden of the house these dogs patrolled.

Anyway, turn left here and you will soon be back where we started. As I said at the start, this is only a small walk. The article is so long because I wanted to translate all the signs into English. I do apologise if I have got any wrong though. I am by no means an expert.

If you are interested in other, longer walks, see our dedicated section on Paphos Walks.

Kallepia Caving

We've visited a few shrine caves on our travels through Cyprus. Most of them are fairly shallow though, and don't require a torch to explore. The Agios Konstantinos and St. Helen chapel is different. If you enter the cave there, you better come equipped with illumination...
