Vouni Path
Inside

The chapel is of the functional rather than ornate variety. It is nice enough though.
Distant Ayios Ioannis

Outside the church one more, and we are in a bit of a dilemma. Well, we aren't really. I know exactly what we are going to do. I was just trying to build up a bit of suspense. The church being the end of the route didn't phase us, as I had been here before, albeit in a car, and from the other direction. So I knew more or less where we had to go, even if I didn't know the exact route. In front of us I could see the Xeros Valley, with Ayios Ioannis on the opposite side. There is a firebreak running from the village down to the base of the valley, near Roudia Bridge.
Turn Right Here

The track winds through the vinyards and soon comes to a junction. I wanted the right hand turn. If I turned left I would either end up in a dead-end in some field, or find myself back in Pano Panagia, after a long journey.
New SIgns!

The trail looped around below the chapel, so at least I knew we were heading in the right direction. We eventually came upon this sign, pointing to the chapel we had just come from. I figured if we followed these signs in reverse we would eventually end up somewhere.
Kannaviou Reservoir

The views on the way down are equally breathtaking.
