There was an assortment of old junk in the first room, including lots of tins and, rather bizarrely, a couple of paddles for a dinghy. What would a kennel need with a boat?

In The Pound

And here we are, in the kennels themselves. It is very overgrown now, but in its heyday will have housed nearly 30 dogs. I guess this explains the remote location, as 30 dogs would mean an awful lot of barking, even by Cypriot standards.

The individual units looked like this. Behind that small concrete wall were a couple of breeze blocks.
