On With The Show

Ok, so that is the first ruin out of the way. Where does the track lead now? If you have driven this far, to avoid the bees, I advise leaving the car here. If you do decide to go further, be very careful.

Well I Never

To the left of the track is a rather large hole. A closer investigation revealed it to be an old well. I threw a pebble down it (as you do), and after a couple of seconds I heard a splash. So it still does its job.

Well In Garden

This was a puzzle. Beyond the well there was a fenced off area that presumably was a garden at some point. I hacked my way through the undergrowth to see what this second well was. It turned out to be ornamental. I wonder if it was originally positioned above the hole? I'm not sure, to be honest, as the hole is a lot bigger than that well. This is what I meant about driving carefully!

Old Oven

There was also an old Cypriot Oven. You can almost smell the kleftiko.

Pretty Plants

We continued the walk past the oven towards what presumably are the old kennels.

The Paphos to Polis Motorway - Part 1

A new motorway is coming to Paphos. It will link the existing A6 motorway to the North West coast of the island, reduce travel time, and aid congestion on the B7. That's the plan, anyway. Alternatively, it will destroy precious natural areas and be an expensive waste of money. We decided to take a look at the proposed route for ourselves, so now at least you will know exactly where the motorway will go. Possibly.
