Later in the season, at this point, it will be obvious to see where to go. The skiers and snowboarders will be descending on the right, and taking the drag-lift on the left. The toboggan run is on the other side of the drag-lift, on the far left.

Now though, when there is nobody about, it is quite disorientating.

If memory serves me correctly, you don't hold on to the bars with your hands. You put it through your legs and let it drag you up that way. The key thing was to not sit on it. Just stand and let it pull you.

I've arrived at the toboggan run now. The best time to visit here is during the week, when there are less people about. I've been here once when it was busy and to be frank, I wouldn't go again. Toboggans whizz past at every angle and it is quite disordered. So if you enjoy a peaceful experience, avoid the crowds.

Of course, if you come early in the season, like today, then you have them pretty much to yourself! One year we got here and the snow was completely untouched. We were the first to fling ourselves downhill. That actually made it more difficult to get a bit of speed up, as it is always better when the snow has been a bit flattened first.
