Tremithousa Water Feature

Rooftop Barking

I'd love to fly my drone around here, though I doubt I ever will. I would need to get permission from too many people first. But I've always been fascinated by rooftops and rooftop gardens. Whole worlds can be hidden high above the streets. Years ago I visited Kathmandu, and remember going up to the rooftop of the Annapurna Lodge Guest House. A girl I met had asked me up there for some yoghurt. It turns out (English wasn't her first language) that she actually meant yoga. I was not up for that, but while I was wondering how to get out of the Downward Facing Dog, I couldn't help but notice all the rooftop gardens I could spy from the top of the Guest House. Ever since then I have been fascinated by them.

Back To Reality

The track we walked up turned into a narrow street.

Future Plans

At some point in the future I'll do a blog on the entire village, as it is a lovely place.

Back To The Car

For now though, we headed back towards the gorge and the little layby where we parked the car.

Nice Mural

This was on the wall of a house opposite where we parked the car. I wonder what it is supposed to represent? As I said before, we shall return to Tremithousa in future to give it the attention it deserves. In the meantime, if you haven't yet checked it out, it is well worth a drive to. You will find it just above Paphos. Go up the B7 and turn left when you get to the traffic lights at Mesogi Road. There is a Paps Bakers there. Tremithousa is on your left as you drive down that road. Park the car up and have a wander.

Tremithousa Gorge

If you drive through Tremithousa from the Mesogi Road Paps, taking the low road, you will pass what looks like a charming landscaped gorge. As we normally drive the route on the way to somewhere else, we don't usually have time to stop for a look. The other day, I made time, and this is what I found.
