The Grey Cliffs of Paphos - Part 3
Water Tanks?
I am guessing these containers were used for transporting water.
Old Wall
Whoever was living here had also knocked up this makeshift wall.
Snake or Snail?
One thing I had been on the lookout for in my adventures around these cliffs was snakes. I had seen no evidence of them whatsoever up until now. No shedded skin, nothing. Here though, it looked like a snake had left a trail in the sand. I guess it could have been slugs or snails, but it is a good reason to be careful. Outside of treading on a snake, the biggest risk on these cliffs is from accidently putting you hand on one while climbing up a rock. It doesn't matter what snake it is, if I put my hand on one my reflex reaction would be to jump backwards, which would be a good way to break a leg!
Paw Prints
I was not the only one exploring up here recently. These dog prints were fairly fresh.
Final View
We shall leave you with this final view of Universal from the cliff face. I hope you have enjoyed our little adventure. It shows that you don't have to go the the Akamas or Paphos Forest in order to do a bit of exploring. Just make sure you dress appropriately, and keep an eye out for snakes!
In our next series of blogs, we will be getting a bit more touristy, as we take a closer look at Kato Paphos...
