Routes To The Blue Lagoon
Smooth Ride
The bumps may have been smoothed down, but corners like this should still be treated with respect.
Crash Barriers
These crash barriers are a new addition. I have no idea how effective they are though. Now, do you notice anything odd about this picture? If you look to the top, you can just make out a small building. That is the ruins of an old church, and we visited it in one of our first blogs. There is a link to that ("if you go down to the woods today...") at the foot of the article. It is worth looking at if you want to see how much the coast road has improved.
Autumnal Shades
In this shot you can see how brown all the foliage is at the moment.
Walking Group
I presume this was a walking group. A couple of them couldn't decide what side of the road to stand on. If you are in a similar situation, just pick one side and stick with it.
Passing Room
As well as the crash barriers, I think they have made more passing points along the route as well. It isn't one-way, and I certainly don't relish the thought of having to reverse down a narrow track. So these laybys are very useful.

The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is one of the jewels in Cyprus' glittering crown. Whether you arrive by boat, or take the bumpy ride that hugs the Akamas cliffs, a scene of beauty awaits you when you get there. It's such a nice place that we can't do it justice in a blog, so this forms part of a bigger presentation, featuring films and a virtual tour.
