Return to the Abandoned Rancho Appaloosa
Alas, Poor Swivel Chair

The chair has now gone for a burton, and lies in the undergrowth below.
The Balcony in 2016

Two years ago, this was still quite scenic. The balcony was still intact, though we chose not to lean on it, and at least some of the windows were still intact.
The Balcony in 2018

Now though, half of the balcony has been removed, presumably for fire wood, and the windows have all been smashed. I can understand the fire wood bit, but why go around breaking all the windows? This is an awfully long way to come to get your vandalism jollies. The same is true of the graffiti. I guess bored teenagers having a bit of fun. Still, at least it is out of the way.
Kitchen Area 2016

In 2016, the kitchen had had all the white goods removed already, unsurprisingly. However, the floor was still intact, and there were a lot of phone books on the floor, for some reason. From memory, these were dated 1998, though you would have to check the orginal blog for the full story.

Ok, so this has been hit badly in the last two years. I can't believe the floor is just vandalism though. What were they removing? I know that holes have been dug in the road outside, to remove some electrical fittings.

The Abandoned Rancho Appaloosa
I feel like apologising for the size of this blog, as it contains over 70 photos. However, this is a lovely place if you like urban exploring, and I felt that if I cut down the picture count I couldn't do it justice. I appreciate that it might not be for everybody though, so the first page contains spoiler photos of what to expect. If you find them interesting, then continue to the main blog!
Kouris Reservoir
We've neglected the dams for a while. They've overflowed, and now the waters are subsiding, ever so slightly. But what of the reservoirs further afield? Kouris has a church which is nearly submerged when it is full. So we thought we better photographed this semi-submerged church while it is still semi-submerged.Good Pages To Visit

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
