Polis Christmas Village - 2024
It's Christmas once again, and for the third year in a row, a festive village has come to Polis. Rained off yesterday, we are happy report that there are full program of events for today. We took these pictures on Friday, when we went for a walkabout.
Start Here!

First of all, let's show you how to get here. Take the B7 from Paphos all the way to Polis. When you come to this Pumpkin Carriage, in the centre of Polis, keep to its right. The road you will then be on has lots of places to park your car, on the right.

Assuming you have parked safely, come back here and pose in the pumpkin.

From there, take a walk up the alley. The village awaits...
As we said earlier, the village was closed on Saturday due to bad weather. There are lots of events today though. For the latest information over the coming days, check out the Polis Municipality Facebook Page.

I liked the decorations they had on this shop. Is it a Jewellers?
Here's One I Made Earlier
While I was taking photos I also made a film. It gives you a different view and some nice interactions with the locals.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
