Polemi Gorge
To Be Continued
That trip will be the subject of the third part of this little trilogy. For now though, I continued down the track in the car. The gorge continues as well, though is mostly hidden. Soon there is a junction. If you turn left a track winds down through the gorge and up the other side, to assorted farm fields. I wouldn't bother taking it though, unless you are really curious. There is an interesting nook along the way, which you can see in the top left of this picture. That might be worth investigating. But otherwise, you are better off staying on the main track.
Update: I am just about to publish this, but have already been back to take more pictures. They will be the subject of two more articles. The next article will cover the rocky outcrop, with some pictures Alex took of Polemi Pond thrown in for good measure. In the final part of the series we shall return to the gorge shown by the drone, as that is worth its own article, and turned out to be quite spectacular.
Ezousa View
I took a lot of panoramic shots with the drone that day, but for some reason this was one of my favourites.
The Gorge Continues
It is worthwhile, when out exploring, to park the car and have a look around ever so often. There is so much hidden from view. This was just past the junction. I had first noticed it from above, when I took turn at the junction and ended up in Agios Dimitrianos. You can see the film of that if you look at our Youtube channel. I won't post it here though, as it was over half an hour long!
Little Shrine
As I said, the track evenutally brings you out onto the Letymbou-Choulou Road. Before that, I passed this nice little shrine, which seems a reasonable place to bring this article to a close.
Birds Eye View
Having read this blog, you will now hopefully be able to watch this film and have a bit more of an understanding of where it was filmed and what you are seeing. So sit back and relax for a few minutes!

Polemi Pond
Outside of Winter and Spring, a lot of Cyprus is very arid. Polemi, centrally placed in Paphos and surrounded by vineyards, remains greener than most. It even has a village pond. Admitedly, you have to go for a bumpy drive to find it, and very few people probably know that it is there, but find it we did.The Crystal Hills of Polemi
We were introduced to the Crystal Hills a few years back. It was the first time we visited Polemi and we were on the hunt for geocaches. This particularly one was a near perfect example of what makes a good cache: an interesting location that we would have been unlikely to find had there not been a cache there. The only thing that let the cache down was it's size, but we won't go into that here. Instead we shall have a look at the terrain, and see why the cache was called "The Crystal Hill".Good Pages To Visit
