Kings Avenue Mall Christmas 2025
Water Feature View
You can see the start of the Bauble Boulevard (any better?) here, along with the water feature.
Tree View
And from up here you get to see the main tree in all its festive glory.
More Bling
The best thing about Christmas Shopping in Cyprus though, is that it is much less hectice than Christmas Shopping in the UK. Now, in my youth, I was the classic male, doing it all on Christmas Eve. I would get glared at by the female Shop Assistants, who were furious that I was doing in a couple of hours what it had taken them weeks to do. But I didn't mind. It was simple. The alternative was a chaotic free-for-all. In Cyprus though, it is different. You might see a slightly longer queue here and then, but no huge ruck. This is due in part because Easter is the bigger celebration here.
Festive Food Area
I've often wondered why that is the case. What is more important, your Savior's birth, or their death? I guess in the Christian faith the death has most significance, because of the subsequent resurrection. Also, generally, when we refer to historical figures, we tend to concentrate on the time of their death rather than their birth.
But it is a lot easier to meaningfully celebrate a happy event.
Fabrica Hill View
So that is Kings Avenue Mall in Christmas 2025. There are some nice decorations by the catacombs too, but I will photograph them at night, along with the main lights in Paphos which got switched on Friday. But that is for another article.
