Kafizis Beach

The small, pebbly beach here was empty. I don't think they have spaced out the sunbeds yet. Perhaps they are waiting for customers to arrive? According to their website, they are open for business, so who knows what will happen here in the near future. The beach here does have a lot of rocks underwater though, and given that the rest of the beaches are all pretty empty, I would look elsewhere. You are spoiled for choice at the moment.

The Tour

If you look on the virtual tour you will see there were double the sunbeds in place last year, so they have removed some of them. They just haven't got round to spacing the remaining ones out yet. For more pictures etc...

Our final beach is not in the Blue Flag directory, because it is not a blue flag beach. I will expand the directory to include it though, along with several more along the north coast near Polis and Pomos. Given that sunbed space may be at a premium in the coming months, it is important to utilise all of Cyprus' resources.

This area is also good for snorkelling. Indeed, some call it "Turtle Bay" as lots of people see a turtle swimming here. We have yet to have that privilege though.

Oh, I should point out, it was the end of the day when we got here. I am sure the deck chairs get tidied up in the mornings.

Nice Harbour

The little harbour here is well worth a visit too. Plus, there are some interesting ancient caves in the hills above. We blogged about them some time ago.

That concludes our look at the Post-Lockdown Paphos beaches and restaurants. We will be giving the Polis coast a similar treatment, as well as casting a broader eye over the rest of Cyprus, in the near future.
