Pano Akourdaleia Nature Trail
Continue

Anyway, let's follow the trail...

A word of warning, by the way. This is not a short article. It probably won't be a very popular article either. Not because it is contraversial or uses bad language. No, it will be unpopular because it is about something that I find interesting and had great fun putting together. Past experience has shown me that this kind of article is much less popular than an article on a popular tourist attraction, or on Paphos Sea Front. But it is Christmas, and we are supposed to indulge ourselves. So I am in indulging myself. Please humour me and come along for the ride.
One Careful Owner

I wasn't long on the trail before I spotted this wreck just off the main track. If you have plans in salvaging it I would forget it. The undergrowth in these parts grows fairly quickly, and this car is now well and truly cut off.
Take A Break

There are a few vewpoints along the way, complete with bench and litter bins. The litter in this bin had been there for a long time.
Into The Valley

The trail itself is an absolute stonker that goes through some lovely, unspoilt countryside.

Yesterday, for the first time since March, we drove somewhere in order to have a walk. It was magnificant! We didn't drive far, just down the road. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
