Palaipafos Archaeological Park
And There's More
There were lots more exhibits. You can see a few of them here.
I guess a lot of the exhibits were found in graves and tombs. That would certainly preserve them.
Bang! Bang!
There is a lot of history here. The Venetians also left their mark. The cannons were accompanied by a picture with the following inscription:
Copy of a wood engraving of Domenica dalle Greche of the 16th century representing a sea-battle between a venetian galley and Turkish pirates in Cypriot waters. The galley is armed with similar cannons to those exhibited here and found in the coastal waters of Kouklia and Lara in the Pafos district.
Final Scenes
After exploring the museum I headed back out to the outdoor features. If you read all the signs you will have a better understanding as to what you are looking at. It's funny to think what went on here in the distant past.

So that was Palaipafos Archaeological Park. If you should choose to visit here, be sure to check out the rest of Kouklia too, as it is a lovely village with a number of decent taverns. There is also another ancient Sugar Mill nearby which is worth exploring, and this one is free!
