Bear In The Air - No Longer There
There used to be an art exhibit in this window, called (by me, it has to be said) Bear In The Air. It even had its own sign so you knew it was art. There is a trainee replacement but it appears to be asleep on the job.
Balcony Life
There have been a number of accidents in Old Town over the last few years, caused by collapsing balconies. So I always keep an eye out while walking through.
Towards Ivis Maliotou Park
If you want to get your bearings we are now looking to our right, down towards Ivis Maliotou Park. We shall be visiting there in the next and final installment of our Old Town 2023 tour.
Cementography
This is also where you will find the largest of the Cementography murals in Old Town. It depicts Arodafnousa arriving at the palace to meet the Queen.
Church Route
As you walk through the industrial quarter of Old Town, it will become apparent that it is undergoing major renovation work. It will be unnoticed by most people, but in a year or two this place is going to look a bit different.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
