Paphos Old Town in 2023 - Part 2
More Old School Old Town

Following the main road past the fish restaurant you will soon see another area on the left that gives you a rather dramatic view of Old Old Paphos. In truth, it didn't all look like this a few years ago, but it is amazing what lurked behind some of the shop frontages.
The Main Road

Make your way up here and take the first left.
No Entry

We are walking back to the centre of Old Town now. Notice that they have closed another road off here. They have actually used the road behind the barrier as seating area for a cafe now. If they see a spare bit of land, they will certainly use it!
Cafes Galore

I really need to do a tour of this area at night. These streets really come alive then.
To The Central Car Park

If you are driving into Old Town from Chloraka you will probably have driven down the main road we walked up. If you turn right where we turned left in this article (we were coming in the opposite direction, remember) you will soon come to this junction on your right. That is how you get to the main car park without having to drive through the whole of Old Town.

Instead we will be focusing on new additions and places we missed last year. Even so, we took nearly 100 pictures for this blog, so we have split it in two. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
