Old Pafos in 2019 - Part 2
Recommended Burger Bar

This burger bar is already in the directory. I haven't eaten there but it comes recommended by a friend.
Oh, and if you are following the route - and with the map at the end of this blog, that is possible - you want to turn left here.

Once And Future Carpark

This is the main carpark we mentioned earlier. It definitely is out of bounds at the moment. Hopefully they are putting in new toilets at the same time.
Nice Kebabs

On the other side of the car park are three kebab houses in a row. The middle one, on the right of this picture, do stonkingly good kebabs that are exceptional value. I have yet to try the other two cafes, because I cannot tear myself away from this one. However a forum member also recommended one of the other places, so I would consider all of them as viable eating options.
Also worth noting, if you have driven round the ring road hoping to park in the car park, only to find it out of bounds, you can turn left just after this kebab house, and then take the first left. You will be in another car park behind the Moutallos Mosque.
Mosque View

Assuming you have wiped the kebab juice off your chin, you can continue down the road. You will see a nice tyre mural on your left, before coming upon lovely nice vista of the old Moutallos Mosque. Enjoy this view, but do turn round and look at the shops behind you...
Shades of Mr Ben

The shops here are fascinating. Ok, so the religious bookstore isn't that fascinating, but goes some way to explain how the shrines we see are so well adorned. But I'm talking about the other shops here...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
