The Abandoned Telecoms Tower At Koili
An Entrance!

Walking around to the front again, I found a window that had had its panels removed. I could climb through here if I wished...
Through The Square Window

However, poking my head through the opening revealed little of interest, so I continued my walk around the front. This was the right decision, as I soon found an open door.
Big Brother Is Watching You

Before entering the door, I noted this sign. This indicates that the building was originally owned by Cyta, which is not much of a surprise (they are the national phone company, like BT). I didn't see any cameras around, but if you do decide to go exploring, you do so at your own risk.

Through the door, this room was a bit of a mess. Ok, it was a huge mess. But it looked kind of interesting, so I stayed for a proper nose.

Of the sciences, Physics was probably my weakest at school. I remember my Dad, who used to build satellites for a living and would have been right at home here, trying to explain to me how the various components interacted, but it just glazed over me. I was much more at home with Chemistry and Biology. In later life I find myself more interested in the advances in Physics though. Perhaps that is because it maintains an area of mystery to me?

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
