Kato Paphos Part 5 - The Back of the Sea Front

Castle Vista
There are a number of alleys between here and the sea front. I am surprised I didn't notice them when I was walking up it. This one has a nice view of the castle.
Mysterious Stairway
I'm back at the arena now, and keen to investigate. Where does that staircase go?
Dead End
Hmm... looks a bit too residential for me to go exploring. I shall try another avenue.
Familiar Scene
Ah I know where I am now. This was the little square of shops I visited in Part 2, that I said was actually round. I didn't notice then that there was an upper layer. That staircase opposite looks promising, so lets see where it leads.
Half Way Up
Well I was able to get half way up. The highest level was behind a locked gate, but I could have a little look around here.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
