Kato Paphos Part 5 - The Back of the Sea Front

We soon arrive at another pub. I love how it has sprouted up even before the rest of the building is finished. It isn't open at the moment though. A quick look on Facebook and Tripadvisor show the last reviews (which were very positive) were posted in late 2019.
One Way Street
You can walk to the sea front here, but don't try and drive that way, as it is a one way street.
Papantoniou's
We've now reached Papantoniou's. This is a chain of supermarkets that run throughout Western Cyprus. They have an arrangement with Sainsbury's so you can buy quite a few UK products if you are pining for some home comforts. There is also a chain of bakeries, called Papantoniou's. They are not the same company, though apparently they are run by the same family.
Basilica Gardens
This is opposite Paps. I like the bicycle decoration on the balcony here.
Mystery Turning
I don't normally drive down the road in this direction, I usually prefer the sea front as it is a bit more picturesque. Consequently, I hadn't noticed this side-road before now. But as I was on foot this time, I had no excuse not to explore it...

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
