Old Tin Shed

There's an old tin shed here. Above it you can just make out the building I was in. The shed is surrounded by very prickly undergrowth, including the dreaded caper.

Bullet Holes

There are a lot of bullet holes in the side of the shed. It looks like hunters use it for target practice.

Empty Room

It took a painful struggle, but I finally managed to get inside. There was absolutely nothing there, and it looked like it flooded regularly. You can see all the bullet holes towards the ceiling though.

So there are a few mysteries. If anybody has any information on the railway or those strange dates, please let us know. Also, if you have access to any old maps of the area from the 70s, please let us know as well. We would love to see them.

Now, as Bonfire Night is fast approaching, I thought I would promote some of the local firework displays. For obvious reasons, Bonfire Night isn't really celebrated in Cyprus, but there are two official displays. I have included their adverts below, along with links to the appropriate facebook pages.

If you do decide to have your own fireworks, please reconsider. The chances of starting a fire are quite high. The landscape is still very dry, so go to a display instead.

Limni Crystal Hunting

We've long been fans of hunting for exotic crystals in the countryside of Cyprus. Half the fun of it is finding an interesting geological location. But it can also be a lot of hard work.
