Freedom!
The Rolling Hills

Once we were through the more treacherous parts of the route, we relaxed a bit and stopped to take photos. Unfortunately, there isn't a picture of me driving through the mud. It would have been spectacular, but when the going gets tough, I am afraid I tend to put the camera down and concentrate on my driving.
In other circumstances, I might have had our roofcam fitted. That would have looked pretty cool. Unfortunately though, there is a lot of overhanging tree branches on the route here, which makes it impossible to use a roofcam.
Beautiful Cyprus

But now we can relax, and enjoy the countryside.
Water Mill

Originally we were going to have our picnic near here, but after our dip, we decided we wanted a picnic table. Luckily we knew there was one near Amargeti, so we drove down the Xeros Valley, past Sinti Monastery and the Donkey farm, before heading towards Nata. We took the winding road on the right which takes you over the hill, before arriving at Amargeti and our picnic bench.
Golden Brown

So, that was our first journey out post-lockdown. It will be a while before we are back to normal. One of our family members has a weakened immune system, so we aren't taking any chances until we have seen there is no spike in Corona numbers. If you do decide to eat out, or go to the beach, please remember to maintain social distancing etc. We aren't over this yet, but we are certainly heading in the right direction.

Roudia Bridge Time Warp
An old photograph, showing a young man standing on top of a broken Venetian Bridge got us excited recently. It looked a bit like Roudia, but the rock outcrop in the background seemed in the wrong place. There was only one way to find out for sure...Good Pages To Visit

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
