One day we will come up on foot from this direction, to explore the rock formation close-up. For now, we just decided to continue towards the sea.

A Familiar Sight

On the way to the sea, we couldn't help but notice how familiar the valley to our right looked.

Sure enough, it was the old olive tree which we mentioned in a previous blog. We know how to get to that tree, and we know that from that tree we can safely get to the valley. So we can get to the formations above by setting off from here.

A few weeks ago, I read reports that some ancient human remains had turned up in a remote church near Kathikas. I presume the remains were placed by a tomb robber, but to be honest, the key phrase that stuck in my head was "remote church". After several attempts, the route to the location was found, and we paid it a visit.
