The Diarizos Valley
Agios Georgios Koumanon Monastery

Once you have rejoined the main road through the Diarizos Valley, you don't have any choice but to climb! climb! climb! The road winds its way up the side of the valley and towards the lofty heights of the Troodos Mountains. The Diarizos itself though, continues into Paphos Forest, and before that even, it still has some secrets to reveal...

Kelefos Bridge

To get any further up the Diarizos Valley, you need to drive up to Agios Nikolaos and head into the forest. The Arminou Reservoir is pretty inaccessible, but beyond that you will find a series of Venetian Bridges and nature trails that are a joy to explore. The first, and most famous, is Kelefos.
Elia Bridge

We've pretty much reached the end of the valley now. It has merged with the forest and the mountains. The river still winds upwards though, and if you have made it as far as Kelefos Bridge you may as well stay on the road to Elia.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
