Cyprus In Pictures - September 2025

Published 1st of October, 2025

We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how September has been in our corner of Cyprus.

Columbia Beach Resort, Pissouri

We begin September's selection of pictures with a view of the Columbia Beach Hotel in Pissouri. This is a luxury 5 star resort, that has a remarkable little chapel in its grounds. It looks fairly nondescript from the outside, but inside you will find an amazing panorama of colour. If you are in the area you should find it for yourself. It is near the beach and visible in this picture.

Aphrodite's Restaurant

Meanwhile, on the north coast of Paphos, Aphrodite's Restaurant continues to delight visitors to the nearby baths. The beach below it is one of the star, hidden attractions to the area too.

St George Hotel

Closer to Paphos City you will find St George Beach in Chloraka. This is very popular, especially in Spring when Green Monday comes around. It will be interesting to see what happens at Alyki Beach next door in 2026. Normally this becomes a huge car park, with lots of outdoor bbqs in operation, to complement the kite flying. The new beach may put a stop to that. Time will tell...

Paphos Castle

The stage in front of the castle is still on display. Carmen has been and gone, but Zorba will be arriving at the end of September.

Petra Tou Romiou

Aphrodite's Rock is one of the most popular attractions in Paphos. Bizarrely, pictures we post of it, like this one, never seem to do that well, compared to other shots. Perhaps it is a place that needs to be enjoyed in person?
