Cyprus in Pictures - November 2023
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how November has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Suite48

We begin the month with a shot of Suite48 Seafront Oasis. This is a popular cafe between SODAP and Pachyammos Beaches and is set just off the main Coastal Walkway.
Diarizos Chapel

When we post our Kalimera pictures we are always at pains to show you everything that Cyprus, and Paphos in particular, has to offer. We don't just want to focus 100% on the Seafront, as we feel that doesn't do the island justice. This is a scene from the Diarizos Valley, and it sums up what the Cyprus countryside is like.
SODAP Beach

Of course, the coast is lovely too. This year we were blessed with a particularly warm Autumn, though the Winter chill has now arrived, as I sit writing this in December.
Paphos Seafront

Of course, while we like to show you the whole of Cyprus, it doesn't mean we won't feature the Seafront at all. How could we resist it, especially when it looks like this? Ok, if you looked at it today, you would probably see a bit more seaweed, thanks to the latest gales, but that's not the point!
Ineia

We also sent some love in the direction of the Akamas Villages in November. We reported on a number of their new museums and I have to say I was impressed.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
