St Nicholas Chapel

Another popular church is St Nicholas Chapel at the eastern end of the Hotel Strip. And yes, if you click on the link you will see a virtual tour of the interior. Make sure you look at the ceiling!

St Nicholas Chapel Beach

Not far from the chapel you will find this lovely little beach. I particularly like the concrete steps they have made to support the walkway.
Polis Municipal Beach

The beaches on the North Coast of Cyprus are lovely too. This beach has many names, but the Blue Flag website and Google call it Polis Municipal Beach, so that is what I shall refer to it as. The beach in the campsite has an official Blue Flag name too - Camping Site.
Diarizos Rock

There is much more to Paphos than the just the beaches though. And as it gets cooler we shall be turning our attention more inland. This is a famous rock in the middle of the Diarizos Valley. We flew the drone here and made a nice film of it. See our footage on the The Rock Of Chasampoulion.
The Red Pool

We love this old quarry lake you can find between Limni Pier and Lysos. It gets its colour from the minerals in the area, and is definitely not a place for you to go swimming in. If you explore the perimeter of the lake you will find some interesting crystals as well.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
