Coral Bay Beach Walk
Checklist

Observe this sign on the way down though, especially if you are a smoker. You might enjoy a fag while sunbathing, but nobody likes digging up a buried butt. So take them away with you when you leave.
Sunbed City

As you enter the beach you could be forgiven for thinking it was wall-to-wall sunbeds, but, as I said, they are all clustered around the restaurants and amenities.
Sea View

There is a bit of a space in front of the sunbeds to plonk your own towel, but when the tide is high it might get wet. Not that Cyprus has much in the way of tides, but the water level does change depending on the phase of the moon.
Towards The Cliffs

When we first visited Coral Bay we stayed in a villa near the ones you can see in the top right of this picture. It was a lot less built up in those days though.
Secluded Cove

They have added concrete reinforcements at the base of the cliffs. I don't know if it is still there, but there used to be a staircase leading down from the top to a tiny little cove. From a distance it looked idyllic, but I swam to it once, and the beach there itself was wall to wall seaweed.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
