Anyway, let's continue our walk around the area. Between the village and the main church there is a building which houses the toilets. There are also some small shops there too, to complement the village sheds.

Lets go and take a look.

On the left you could buy kleftiko, which is about as traditional as Cypriot food gets.

If you've never had Kleftiko before you should try it. Kleftiko (or Ofto Kleftiko) is a celebrated traditional Cypriot dish of slow-roasted meat, often goat or lamb, cooked until exceptionally tender. The dish is named after the Greek word for "stolen," referencing the historical practice of bandits (Klephts) cooking stolen animals in sealed underground pits to avoid detection. It is normally served with potatoes.

Another Cypriot staple is loukoumades. According to a rather annoying AI bot on Google, "Lokma or Loukoumades are tasty bites of heaven enjoyed by locals year-round. These delicious fluffy balls are made similar to donuts – retaining a sweet dough-like consistency. Deep-fried until golden and crispy, these mini treats are glazed with warm honey syrup, with cinnamon and garnished with walnuts".

I don't recall ever seeing any nuts on my loukoumades, but there you go.
