Cali Resort And Spa Update
Rear View

This gives us some clue as to what has been happening inside. Previous shots showed pallets on the balconies of the rooms, containing tiles and other fittings. These now appear to have just about (I think I can still see two!) all been used. So a lot of progress has happened on the interior as well.

Coral Bay Strip

While we were here, it seemed rude not to photograph Coral Bay Strip. There will be a proper progress report in a week or two, but from this angle they have obviously been busy. And remember, the Strip renovation will be complete by the time the hotel opens in May.
Coral Bay Resort

There is of course, more to Coral Bay than the Strip itself. Here you can see the rest of the area, including Coral Bay Beach. There are a number of bars and restaurants in this part of town too.
Coral Bay Beaches

In this shot you can see Coral Bay's biggest assets. There is Coral Bay Beach in the foreground, and behind the Thalassa Hotel (currently being renovated) you can just make out Corallia Beach. In the summertime there will be plenty of sunbeds for the sun worshippers amongst you, but at the moment the beaches are clear.
See The Film
As well as these pictures, I also went on a bit of a walking tour and recording some drone film. I have combined the two into this gargantuan epic.
After the last film I made there were a surprisingly large amount of negative comments. I do wish people would stop this. If you don't like life in Cyprus, bugger off back to the UK and leave it to those of us who are happy to accept Cyprus on its own terms. Stop moaning. It is boring and you invariably get your "facts" completely skewed. How do you think the locals feel when they read your comments? Is it any wonder the Australians called us "whinging poms". Seriously, stop it.
For people interested in what the Cali will look like, I have reposted the pictures we used in our previous report. You can see them on the next page. It is going to look amazing.
