The Route Back
Once I had the cache, I needed a route back. From here, the route down (to the left of that dark shadow) didn't look very inviting. However, in reality it was a lot easier climbing back up, once I had avoided the slippery shale.
Home Via The Coast
So back to the car, getting some more bottles along the way.
Overhang
This spot was right by where the fisherman had parked his truck earlier.
Bird Holes
I would imagine quite a few birds live here.
Craggy Island
I loved the rock formations here. Like the rocks at Episkopi but on a miniature scale.

What Are These Mystery Tags?
I am taking a break from my normal blogs to pose a question. On my travels throughout Cyprus, while I have been photographing interesting locations for blogs, I have often stumbled across some mysterious tags. They consist of a date, and an initial or two. I have photographed them as I explored, but have never included the photos in a blog because it doesn't really fit in with the blog's theme. However, I have now amassed sufficient tag pictures for them to warrant a blog in their own right. And my question to you is simple; why are they there?

The sun shone brightly this morning, so we took the opportunity to go for a drive on the Akamas. There's been a lot of rain, but as a result of this, the Akamas is looking gorgeous at the moment...Related Pages

This was filmed with our gopro, stuck to the bonnet of the car. If I appear to be going fast in places it is because the gopro skips some frames for some reason.

In this video we start at the Blue Lagoon, having driven here from Aphrodite's Baths. Having negotiated the steep drops, we now only have an incredibly bumpy ride to contend with. Eventually the suction arm the camera is attached to starts conking out, but not before we take you further around the tip of the Akamas.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
