Polis Beaches - Part 3
In the final part of our look at the beaches along the north coast of Paphos, we travel from Pomos to Polis, finishing up with a slap-up meal at our favourite kebab joint. If you want quieter beaches in beautiful surroundings, then this area will not disappoint. We visited these beaches more times than was strictly necessary to make this blog, which shows that we have saved what we consider to be some of the best Paphos beaches to last.
Beautiful Pomos
Before you get to Pomos Beach, you have to pass through its harbour. As you can see, it looks lovely.
Beer Monster
This is the beach bar. That strange creature on the roof reminds me of one of the creatures you had to battle in the old computer game Doom. I wonder what he's doing here? Similarly, I wonder what the deal with the surfboard is? As you shall see, there are too many rocks for any surfing.
Rocky Waters
However, while it is no good for surfing, those rocks ensure that it is excellent for snorkelling.
Kanalli Fish Restaurant
While you are visiting the beach, you can have a nice meal at the restaurant above the harbour. They specialise in fish, though they do other dishes too. I had a swordfish steak here on one visit and it was lovely. If you opt for pizza though, don't have a small one, unless you aren't very hungry. Unlike a lot of restaurants, a small pizza here is just that (it also had a small price tag though).
