When the Asprokremmos overflowed, we were curious to see where all the water went. We knew of course that it would head to the sea, but given that the reservoir last overflowed 7 years ago, we were curious what had happened to the land in the mean time.
It turned out that it was a pointless question. It didn't matter what had happened to the land in the last 7 years. What mattered was what happened now. And the answer was simple: the dried up area soon became a lush, verdant riverside location. It is very pretty here, and a great place for bird and insect spotting. Be careful of the road here however, it was very muddy in places.
