Polemi Tulip Festival Is Coming!
Hot and Dusty
Weather-wise, the temperature is rising, though there is a lot of dust in the air. The forecast is sun for the forseeable future, which bodes well for Sunday 7th. The dust comes from the Sahara by the way. It isn't local pollution.

If you look hard enough you will find tulips elsewhere too. They pop up between vines in some fields, and you will also see some in hedgerows. There are also another couple of locations where you can find them, which we will see in a moment.
The festival itself is not held at the field. No, it takes place at the Metochi of Polemi, which is just off the main square.
The festival has lots of traditional singing, dancing and food, as well as numerous stalls. If you can't make it on that day though, it is worth coming to Polemi at any time. The countryside at the moment looks amazing, and it isn't all yellow.
