If you are wondering why I spelt Ineia differently it is because there are three alternate spellings, and the website uses a different one. You will also see the village name spelt "Inia", just to confuse things. They all refer to the same place: Ίνεια.

Know Your Turtles

There are two main types of turtle to be found in Cyprus: Loggerhead and Green. Of the two, you are more likely to spot the smaller Loggerhead. Green turtles are rarer, though we did spot a young one when we were snorkelling near Protaras last month.

Incidentally, if you are wondering along a beach and happen to find a dead turtle, then you should phone the following number: Andreas on 99359977

Don't get too close to the turtle itself, as they can really honk after a few days.
