Paphos Boardwalk in 2026
Paphos Boardwalk runs from Geroskipou all the way to Sandy Beach in Lemba. There are plans to expand the route all the way to Coral Bay and eventually Agios Georgios Harbour. One of our favourite parts is the area behind the Hotel Strip. In this article I follow this route and photograph the experience.
St Nicholas Chapel
We shall begin our adventure at the lovely St Nicholas Chapel, which you will find at the far end of the Hotel Strip between the Pioneer Beach and Louis Phaethon Hotels. This is a very popular wedding venue which looks even lovelier on the inside. It was being used when I visited but a couple of years ago I did a virtual tour of the interior so you can have a look inside here: St Nicholas Church.
Outdoor Shrine
Outside the chapel there is a little shrine and a fantastic, wind-swept tree. It is well worth having a closer look.
Memorial Tree
People have been leaving memorial pebbles with messages to departed loved ones here. They have also been tying them to the tree, like votive offerings.
On The Boardwalk
For a lot of people, Paphos Boardwalk starts here, next to St Nicholas Chapel and the Pioneer Beach Hotel. This is certainly where you get a decent track, but I consider the start to be at the far end of Geroskipou Beach. If you are a purist and want to walk the entire length, head in that direction. Bring plenty of fluid though, as the entire walk will take over three hours.
Cabana Country
There is a tiny little bay here, with sunbeds belonging to Constantinou Brothers Hotels. These are the people who own both the Asimina Suites (which we shall see soon) and the Pioneer Beach hotels, so I guess residents at both share them.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
