Paphos Beaches
Nearly There

The walkway continues to the town. First up though, is another blue flag.
Vrysoudia B Beach

I think this little beach is my favourite of all the beaches along here. I like the backdrop and the view of the castle.

Alexander The Great

The next hotel to see is the Alexander The Great. This is another Kanika Hotel, and as such is closed until further notice. We include the link so you can check yourself though.

After the Alexander there are only another couple of hotels before you reach the harbour. The first is a favourite of ours, The Almyra. They are open now, and have a 15% discount on their prices.
Finally, there is the Hotel Annabelle, that opens on July 1st.

In the next part of our blog, we visit Paphos Harbour and see how the restaurants are coping, before continuing up the coast to Coral Bay and Agios Georgios.
I shall finish the first blog with an observation. If you are a resident of Cyprus, and are concerned about the affect tourism will have on the covid infection rate, go to the beaches now. They are virtually empty, social distancing is being practiced, and the restaurants are also prepared (you will see more on them in the next blog).
And if you are a holidaymaker, and are wondering what your holiday will be like, then rest assured. The beaches are open, and prepared.
If you do visit the beaches though, please obey the social distancing rules. They aren't draconain, just common sense. And be nice to the people who are maintaining them, and working in the restaurants and hotels.
Above all though, have a relaxing time. We're all a bit tense at the moment.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
