The Xeros River Flows!
The River Continues
Anyway, after the herons, we continued driving down the side of the river. We stopped where convenient to take more pictures as we went along.

As we progressed downstream towards the sea, we could hear what sounded like rapids ahead.
White Water!
Sure enough, there were some white water rapids. I would like to have been able to stand next to them to get some better pictures, but they were on the other side of the river.
Besides the White Water area, we also found something rather weird...
Gory Closeup
Somebody had recently dumped what I assume was a pig's head, in a bag. Alex even managed to get a snap of an industrious fly which was busy stripping the skull. I presume a larger animal has already had a go at the snout.

It looks like the sun is here to stay now, and Cyprus is quickly turning brown. The Asprokremmos is no longer overflowing, and soon, the rivers will no doubt start to run dry again.
