Winter Wonderland 2020
The Solution

Yes, it was by the drag lift. If you like those sort of pictures though, do check out our Spot The Ball section.

Winter Wonder

This tree was just behind the end of the drag lift. It looks rather special.
And speaking of special, I have a request for fans of Paphos Life, the special fans who read all the way through the blogs, and watch all the films. The Virtual Tour arm of Paphos Life is expanding, and to make Google happy, the "Paphos Life" product needs some Google reviews. I could ask for this on a separate post, but to be honest, I would prefer a few reviews from people who genuinely like what we do rather than a lot of casual reviews that don't really mean anything.
So if you want to sing our praises, please do so here:
Proud Dad Alert

This little girl was demonstrating that a bin liner is sufficient, provided you are light enough.
Getting Busy

At peak times I imagine this can get quite crowded. I remember hills back in the UK that would be swamped whenever it snowed. Miraculously nobody ever seemed to get hurt though. I think people are naturally more alert when the adrenaline is pumping, and nothing gets the adrenaline pumping more than going shooting down a slope on your bottom.
Cool Cat

We will leave you with this rather nice snow cat that somebody had assembled. We did bring a carrot with us and some chestnuts. The plan was to make a snowman, but we never got round to it. Later on, when we got home, I roasted the chestnuts, and learned too late that you are supposed to score each chestnut with a cross before putting them in the oven. They explode otherwise.
Anyway, if you are thinking of paying a visit to the Troodos, check the weather conditions first. Road closures are normally announced and circulated via social media and the local press. Oh and make sure you pack some blankets and refreshments, so in the unlikely event that you do get stuck somewhere, you can keep warm until help arrives.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
