Susan Vargas - Tablets

In the next cave along, we have this piece of DIY art.
Susan Vargas' modern votive tables is based on the interaction with the visitors as well as the believers. Their offerings can be very personal and private, as well as very public. Her seven wax "Tablets" in one of the caves have this private and publicness about them. While we don't know who has written the message, it is there for everyone to see.
Basically, there are stick pens here, and you can carve your own images in the wax, should you so choose.
Julia Schewalie - MOSAIC_GRAPHITE

Julia Schewalie creates a minimalistic image of the unknown past. We know only partly the reasons why the caves were enlarged or for which purpose certain niches were carved into the rock. MOSAIC_GRAPHITE visualises our ignorance and confronts us with the past's secrets.
In Context

This is a still from the virtual tour, showing the exhibit in a wider context.
Aphrodite's Pigeon

Now this one's a puzzle, not helped by the fact that I didn't photograph the information sign. I'm not sure whether this is part of the exhibit or not. There is another bit on the other side of the path...
The Pigeon?

Is this the entire exhibit, or is the stuff on the other side part of it too? You decide. But you can tell the exhibit is good, because a passing bee has stopped to take a look.

Geroskipou Sculpture Park
As part of Pafo2017, a new Sculpture Park was commissioned in Geroskipou. Inspired by local history, legends and traditions, ten Cypriot and foreign sculptors have created on-site works drawing on the history of the area and, in this way, leaving behind them the traces of the European Capital of Culture. That's what the blurb says anyway. So what are they like?

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
