The Church of St George Nicoxylitis
Back Outside
It is much too nice a day to spend it cooped up inside, so we are quickly back out in the gardens exploring the ruins.
Old Ladies
In the field by the church were some magnificent old Olive Trees. These beauties are hundreds of years old and just ooze history. Imagine how many kids have played in them over the years?
Rooms Within Rooms
In truth, there aren't much left of the ruins. I can only presume that the monastery was abandoned a long time ago.
Front Door
Let's have one last look at the front of the church. What is, perhaps surprising though, given how well this church is looked after, is what is being built on the opposite side of the road.
Church Number 2
It looks like they are building another church!
