We've visited a few shrine caves on our travels through Cyprus. Most of them are fairly shallow though, and don't require a torch to explore. The Agios Konstantinos and St. Helen chapel is different. If you enter the cave there, you better come equipped with illumination...
A Remote Church
This little chapel lies between Kallepia and the road to Minthis Hills. It isn't signposted, and is easy to miss. The road down to it from the main road is a typical country track that expects you to turn on a sixpence.
It may be hard to find, but it is certainly still used. Pictures on google show a busy church with a large congregation.
The location is beautiful. Kallepia lies across the valley, and beyond that, the Ezousa river cuts it's path through the Paphos hills.
However, we are not here to look at the scenery. We've had a tip-off that this particular church has a surprise in store for anybody lucky enough to find it.
